Takling, atau "jegal" dalam bahasa Indonesia merupakan salah satu gerakan atau aksi atau bahkan teknik yang diperbolehkan dalam pertandingan sepakbola. Tujuannya adalah merebut bola dari kaki lawan. Namun begitu, gerakan yang satu ini termasuk dalam gerakan yang berbahaya, sebab berpotensi mencederai lawan, dan karena itu peringatan dan bahkan kartu merah dari sang wasit kerap terpaksa dikeluarkan. Ini hasil pengamatanku sejak lama. Entah apakah aku satu-satunya orang yang
memperhatikan hal ini. Tapi untuk kelegaan hati, aku tuliskan saja, walaupun agak terlambat. Ini mengenai persamaan wajah antara orang-orang terkenal. George Walker Bush, mantan presiden Amerika Serikat yang 20 Januari 2009 baru saja menyerahkan tampuk kepemimpinan kepada Barack Hussein Obama Jr, aku amati mempunyai kesamaan wajah dengan salah satu pemain legendaris Manchester United (MU), Mark Hughes.

George W. Bush presiden dari Partai Republik yang lahir tanggal di New Haven,
Connecticut, Amerika Serikat pada tanggal 6 Juli 1946 menjadi Presiden Amerika selama 2 periode,dari 20 Januari 2001 sampai 20 Januari 2009. Beliau adalah Presiden Amerika Serikat ke 43 yang di akhir masa jabatannya meninggalkan tugas amat berat kepada penerusnya, Obama, krisis ekonomi yang berkepanjangan akibat perang.
Sedangkan Hughes yang bernama lengkap Leslie Mark Hughes sekarang adalah pelatih klub EPL, Manchester City. Lahir di Ruabon,Wrexham,Wales pada tanggal 1 November 1963, berposisi sebagai striker.Pernah bermain di MU dua kali, tahun 1980-86 serta 1988-95, bermain sebanyak 467 pertandingan mencetak gol bagi MU 163. Sempat bermain di Barcelona dan Bayern Munich tahun 1986-1988, kemudian melanjutkan karir di banyak klub, yaitu Chelsea,Southampton,Everton dan Blackburn Rovers.Hal yang unik dari Hughes adalah pernah menjadi pelatih nasional negaranya, Wales, ketika masih aktif sebagai pemain di Southampton,Everton dan Rovers tahun 1999-2004.Suatu hal yang tak pernah dialami pemain lain (?).

Entah mengapa, dari berbagai sudut Bush dan Hughes amat mirip. Sorot mata, senyum, pembawaan, sampai bentuk rambut.Mungkin hanya aksen bicaranya saja mereka berbeda. Bush dengan logat koboi Texas, sedang Hughes dengan Bahasa Inggris British yang elegan. Bagaimana pembaca ? Mirip tidak ?
Pendapat saya mungkin berbeda dengan pembaca sekalian. Tapi lain kali akan saya amati lagi orang-orang terkait dengan olahraga yang mempunyai kemiripan wajah.

Koreografi yang diperagakan oleh 976 penari ini mewakili ciri khas dari dua negara yang menjadi tuan rumah acara besar ini, yakni Austria dan Swiss. Stadion yang dipenuhi sesak oleh penonton sebanyak 42.500 ini sempat hening sejenak ketika beberapa musisi meniup alpenhorn,alat musik tradisional Swiss,sejenis terompet tetapi bentuknya panjang lebih dari satu meter. Musim dingin pegunungan Alpen pun ditampilkan secara menawan,apalagi karena tampil pula di tengah acara Amanda Ammann,Miss Switzerland 2007.Acara diakhiri dengan pelepasan 4.000 balon ke udara.

Sebenarnya ini bukan olimpiade pertama yang dipenuhi dan dicampuri oleh kasus politik.Nyaris dalam setiap berlangsungnya Olimpiade selalu diwarnai oleh kontroversi dan isu-isu yang sebenarnya tidak secara langsung berhubungan dengan Olimpiade itu sendiri.Begitu pula dengan Olimpiade 2008 yang akan berlangsung di Beijing,RRC pada tanggal 8 sampai 24 Agustus 2008.Olimpiade kali ini diwarnai isu mengenai pelanggaran HAM yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah China terhadap rakyat Tibet.Disamping ada juga yang mencoba mengaitkan Olimpiade ini dengan kasus keterlibatan China di Darfur,Sudan.Akhirnya acara Rally Obor Olimpiade yang berlangsung di seluruh dunia pun diwarnai protes dan unjuk rasa para pendukung Tibet yang mencoba menarik perhatian dari acara besar ini.Begitu pula ketika Obor ini menghampiri Jakarta,Indonesia,pada hari Minggu tanggal 22 April 2008.Meskipun pemerintah Indonesia melalui Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora) Adhyaksa Dault sudah mencoba meyakinkan pemerintah China bahwa Indonesia adalah negara yang berbeda daripada negara-negara yang telah dilintasi Obor Olimpade sebelumnya, dan memberikan jaminan keamanan yang cukup besar atas perjalanan Obor ini di Jakarta, tetap tak cukup meyakinkan pemerintah China atas kekhawatiran mereka.Akhirnya terselenggara jugalah Rally Obor ini dalam suasana sangat tertutup.Diadakan di Stadion Utama Senayan,stadion sepakbola terbesar di Asia Tenggara - dan salah satu yang terbesar di Asia - hanya boleh dihadiri oleh para undangan dan wartawan saja.Obor pertama kali dibawa oleh Fauzi Bowo,Gubernur Jakarta,dan dilanjutkan oleh pembawa obor lainnya.Perjalanan obor hanya berlangsung sekitar lingkar luar stadion saja,sementara gerbang sudah ditutup mulai dari gerbang paling luar dari kompleks stadion.Acara sebenarnya berlangsung meriah,walaupun masyarakat luas tidak dapat menyaksikannya.Pembawa obor adalah orang-orang pilihan,diantara juara olimpiade Taufik Hidayat dan atlet basket Denny Sumargo.Tak ketinggalan artis sinetron,si cantik Luna Maya.Tampak pula beberapa mantan atlet nasional dalam acara ini,seperti Syamsul Anwar Harahap, Ellyas Pical dan Chris John dari tinju,dan Perry Pantouw dari judo.Juga ketua KONI Rita Subowo serta Menpora Adhyaksa Dault.Bolasinema sendiri hanya mampu meliput acara yang berlangsung di luar pawai itu sendiri,dan baru dapat memasuki stadion ketika pawai sudah selesai.Seperti yang anda lihat di movie kita ini,masyarakat tertahan di pintu gerbang terluar saja,tak dapat masuk.Dan itu menimbulkan kemacetan yang lumayan panjang di sekitar stadion.Barulah ketika pawai selesai,penonton dapat masuk.

Endang Witarsa Sang Legenda

Untuk posting yang satu ini agaknya hanya untuk konsumsi para bolamania Indonesia.Karena itu penulis merasa tak perlu menyertakan terjemahan bahasa inggris di bawahnya.
Berita sepakbola tak hanya berisi mengenai berita sukacita, kebahagiaan maupun kemenangan. Namun bicara sepakbola juga berisi dukacita, kesedihan, maupun ditinggalkan oleh para tokohnya yang telah mengisi urat nadi persepakbolaan nasional. Kita baru saja ditinggalkan oleh drg. Endang Witarsa. Beliau yang pernah melatih tim nasional pada era 1970-an, meninggal dunia di RS Pluit, Jakarta, pada Rabu, 2 April, pukul 04.30 WIB dalam usia 91 tahun. Ia pun tercatat telah menerima dua penghargaan sekaligus dari Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia (MURI) sebagai pelatih terlama (55 tahun) dan tertua (90 tahun), 21 Januari 2007 silam. Almarhum meninggalkan dua orang putra, dua putri, 12 cucu, dan tujuh cicit. Jenasah Endang disemayamkan di Rumah Duka RS Dharmais, ruang D-F, dan akan dikremasi di Oasis pada Minggu, 6 April.
Drg. Endang Witarsa selaku Ketua Umum Yayasan POR UMS dan pelatih Sepakbola POR UMS dilahirkan di Kebumen pada tanggal 04 Oktober 1916 . Bernama asli Lim Sun Yu, beliau mulai masuk menjadi anggota pada tahun 1948 selaku pemain gelandang Klub UMS, dan mulai melatih pada tahun 1951 tanpa waktu jedah sampai Desember 2006 selama 55 tahun, di POR Union Makes Strength (UMS). Beliau melatih team Persija pada tahun 1961 sampai 1966 dan melatih team PSSI Junior sejak tahun 1965 sampai tahun 1970, dilanjutkan melatih team PSSI senior sejak tahun 1967 sapai 1980, melatih team Galatama Warna Agung tahun 1976 sampai 1980, dilanjutkan melatih Team UMS 80 tahun 1980 sampai 1984. Karir kepelatihan Endang diawali pada 1951 di klub Union Makes Strength (UMS) Jakarta setelah gantung sepatu. Banyak nama besar dalam dunia sepak bola Indonesia yang pernah diasuhnya, seperti Iswadi Idris, Ronny Pattinasarany, Surya Lesmana, Sinyo Aliandoe, Yudo Hadianto, Ronny Pasla. Widodo C.Putra, termasuk pelatih timnas senior Indonesia saat ini Benny Dollo. Pada mulanya saya agak bingung melihat si bocah terlihat sedih karena bermain bola sendirian. Sampai tiba-tiba dia menjadi sangat ramah kepada orang tuanya. Beberapa hari ini aku kesulitan memposting, karena ada gangguan teknis di tempat aku biasa berselancar. Tapi aku ingin menyambung postingan aku terdahulu. Tapi, maaf bukan aku ingin mengingat-ingat peristiwa yang sadis-sadis, tapi aku merasa harus melunasi hutang aku di postingan tersebut. Yaitu peristiwa yang pernah menimpa "rising star" Indonesia dari klub Persipura Jayapura, Boaz Theofilius Erwin Solossa (Boaz). Adapun pertandingannya berlangsung di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno Jakarta pada tanggal 1 Juni 2007 pada pertandingan persahabatan antara tim nasional Indonesia melawan tim nasional Hongkong. Ketika pertandingan memasuki menit ke 70 babak kedua itulah petaka menimpa Boaz, yang ditakel dari belakang (tackling from behind) oleh pemain Hongkong. Berikut kita saksikan cuplikannya:
